SUBIC, Zambales: A British and his Filipina partner were arrested on Friday after operatives of the Zambales Provincial Police Office (ZPPO) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 3 found marijuana plants estimated at P5 million at their residence.
Simon Stuart Mclaren Watson, 42, and his live-in partner, Rizza Fernandez, 28, were arrested after operatives found in their compound in Magdalena Homes about 70 pots of marijuana plants.
Fernandez, a Mindoro Occidental native, said the marijuana was for personal use since Watson has an asthma problem and suffered a spine injury two years ago, but denied she was using the plant.
Kush is a strain of cannabis indica that originated mainly from Afghanistan, Northern Pakistan and North-Western India. Its name was derived from the Hindu Kush Mountain range.
