GOING on holiday spells excitement all around save for the hassles of airport queues and check in procedures.
Unfortunately, many travelers who go through Philippine airports have much to say about their often frustrating experiences, which starts off a trip on the wrong foot and ultimately wastes precious vacation time.
These in mind, the Philippines’ foremost budget carrier designed the Cebu Pacific Travelers Lounge at Resorts World Manila for satellite check-in services for flights departing from Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 (NAIA T3).
Now open at the ground floor of the property’s Newport Mall, Cebu Pacific passengers already have the option to check-in for their flights during mall hours, or up to eight hours before their scheduled flights. Those with check-in bags, however, will still have to proceed to the Bag Drop counters at the airport.
“Our passengers can choose from various check-in options: website, mobile app and now, our satellite check-in counters in Resorts World Manila Travelers Lounge. It’s a great opportunity for passengers who want to avoid queuing at the airport. They can come here with enough time, get their boarding passes and kill time enjoying great facilities at this fantastic area of Resorts World Manila,” Javier Massot, vice president for Airport Services at Cebu Pacific told members of the media at a site visit on February 12.
“In other words, traveling will be more hassle-free for them with this pleasant and relax experience than rushing to the airport and joining the queues.”
On the flip side, Massot added, “It will also be a great opportunity for us because it will decongest the airport. Unfortunately, although this happens around the world, traffic grows very rapidly but our infrastructure is not growing as fast as the number of people traveling. So for now, we all have to work together and become more imaginative and make better use of the infrastructure which is already available,” he added.
Meanwhile, Resorts World Manila Chief Operating Officer Stephen Reilly shared that the lounge is flexible as it can cope with the demand in terms of how any passengers the lounge can accommodate.
“It’s great for our guests and it’s also great for Cebu Pacific because NAIA Terminal 3 gets very congested. The passengers are very grateful having more alternative sight when people come and check in, they’ll sit back and relax after while waiting for their flights. They’ll just cross the bridge and go straight to the immigration, off they go,” he said.
While enjoying the property’s attractions and amenities, real-time flight status digital boards are located at the lounge. Getting to NAIA T3 is also easy with Runway Manila, an air-conditioned, elevated walkway that directly connects Newport City with the airport. Free shuttle vans also regularly make the rounds from Newport Mall and Resorts World Manila hotels to the Runway Manila entrance from where passengers can walk to the airport within five minutes.
“They fly hundreds of thousands of local and international tourists on their planes daily and we are glad to provide these travelers with the option of spending their pre-boarding hours enjoying the many thrills the property has to offer,” Reilly noted.
As an added treat for those who check-in at the satellite lounge, Resorts World Manila is giving away P300 worth of non-negotiable slots credits, and P150 discount vouchers for every minimum P500 spend at Resorts World Manila signature restaurants such as Impressions, Passion, Ginzadon, Café Maxims, and gaming area restaurants Silk Road, Silogue, Victoria Harbour Café, and Franks.
Guests must be at least 21 years old to avail of the slot credits and to dine in gaming area restaurants.
Travelers with flights, however, are responsible for reaching their boarding gates on time and encouraged to check the flight status boards around the property and to allow enough time to reach the airport.
