Amusement and theme parks indeed provide carefree fun, adventure and memories to last a lifetime. For young and old, theme parks are a destination that will transport them to an entirely different place with endless opportunities to live out a charmed and exciting life even for a few hours.
In Taiwan, there are amusement parks of various sizes, and whether big or small, each one features its own prominent theme and unique charms to attract different guests. These include the Window on China Theme Park, a family amusement park; the Leofoo Village Theme Park, an animal paradise; the Lihpao Resort, a holiday waterpark; and the E-DA World, a European-style technology park.
Window on China Theme Park
This park is located in Taoyuan and contains more than a hundred immersive miniature models of the different structures all over the world. Every brick and plant of each building is made based on a scale of one-twenty-fifth of the original structure.
Some of these places include the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Churches of Rome, and The Great Wall which are all scaled down for visitors to feel like a giant and create an impression of traveling around the world in a short amount of time without the need of going abroad.

Meanwhile, Leofoo Village, which is down south to Hsinchu County, was originally established as a wildlife park before it was reestablished as a compound amusement park. There are five themed areas set up inside including the Central Magic Fountain, Arabian Kingdom, African Safari, South Pacific, and the Wild West.
Among them, the wild safari-themed area of the African Safari is the one-and-only open wildlife park in Taiwan that accommodates thousands of animals of nearly 70 species. A rich and perfect layout was planned to create the so-called paradise for wild animals. Visiting the sites of flamingo bird park, herbivore zone, and the wild beast zone is just like taking a trip to Africa.
Located in southern Taiwan, E-DA on the other hand is the first theme park featuring ancient Greek background in Taiwan. The true-to-life pseudo-classic buildings inside give the impression of being surrounded by an ancient Greek kingdom.
A new VR station was also added last year in E-DA World, which is an innovative travel element covering an area of a thousand square meters has been built. Unlike regular entertainment facilities, the 720-degree full spherical panorama has been put up to allow players to be more wrapped up in the experience with four types of virtual reality games available.
With the ever-changing systematic game designs and settings, visitors can immerse themselves in the situation and conduct interactions. E-DA World has become a must-visit technology park when traveling to Taiwan because of its awesome and thrilling games.
Finally, Lihpao Resort in Taichung is a holiday, double-themed park comprising an amusement park, a waterpark, and the Fullon Hotel. This vacation resort, particularly suitable for a family trip, is renowned for its “Sky Dream” air-conditioned Ferris wheel which reaches up to an altitude of 384 meters, equivalent to the 88th floor of Taipei 101. Sitting inside the cabin, one can appreciate the marvelous, panoramic landscape at a glance.
Other amusement parks known for their distinguishing features and worth visiting as well are the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village, which has become a wonderful place to go for cherry blossom viewing during the recent years apart from its indigenous characteristics; the Janfusun Fancyworld, which is a joyous wonderland themed on native fairy tales and fantasy; and the Farglory Ocean Park in Hualien, an amazing spot to visit which is a themed on ocean and marine life.
