It’s the most wonderful time of the year — bumpers and honking cars fill the metro streets under Christmas lights and parols. At the peak of rush hour, the basement of Gucci’s Greenbelt 4 store is like an oasis. All is merry as the “Gucci Gang” — Anne Curtis Smith, Michelle Dee, Janine Gutierrez, Gabbi Garcia, James Reid and Issa Pressman — gather over steaming cups of Italian coffee and decadent hot chocolate, trimming wreaths as fabulously as they are dressed in pieces from the Cruise collection and Gucci Gift campaign.
Classics like the iconic Jackie as well as the bamboo handle bag Icon come in a range of sizes — teeny-tiny to fit only credit cards and a lipstick and oversized for all your essentials — and finishes like calfskin to exotics with bejeweled clasps. Everything from loafers and sneakers to stilettos and pumps are bedazzled and embellished for the season. Even the softest knits sparkle — crystals are knit delicately into the weave.
The festive magic didn’t stop at wreath-making. As the sun dipped, the group tucked into a sumptuous holiday dinner, reminiscing about the year that was — its highs, its lessons, and its surprises — while imagining the possibilities of what’s to come. They talked about their holiday plans, their favorite Gucci pieces (they’re wearing them!) and the little joys that make the season unforgettable.
