Boy Vizmonte, wife, Eileen Vizmonte and their eldest son, Noel Vizmonte
On a delightful evening at Congee Queen in Dundas, Mississauga, the Upsilonian community gathered to extend a warm welcome to Boy Vizmonte ’77, his wife Eileen, and their son Noel. Boy, who previously served as Philippines’ Undersecretary of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), was greeted with heartfelt camaraderie.
The dinner was graced by the presence of esteemed Upsilonian Brods and Sigma Deltan Amy Bautista ’76. Among the attendees were:

The evening was filled with shared memories, and the forging of new bonds. The attendees reminisced about their shared experiences and celebrated the enduring spirit of brotherhood and sisterhood that defines the Upsilonian and Sigma Deltan communities.
Boy Vizmonte expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support of his fraternity brothers and sisters. The gathering was a testament to the strong ties that bind the Upsilonian family, transcending time and distance.
Ireneo “Boy” Vizmonte joined the Upsilon Sigma Phi in 1977 and is a former DTI undersecretary. He retired in September 2023 after four decades in government service. A graduate from UP Los Baños with a degree in B.S. Agricultural Engineering.
Eileen Tirona-Vizmonte, better half of Boy is a former senior policy officer of the embassy of the Netherlands in the Philippines. A water and resilience advocate, she is currently a consultant for Dutch Water Operators, VEI B.V. She is a graduate of UP Diliman, with AB Economics and Masters in Public Administration degrees.
Noel is the eldest son of boy and Eileen, currently enrolled in a diploma course at the Seneca College, Newnham Campus. He is a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas with a B. S. Electronics and Communications Engineering degree.
