POLICE arrested on Friday a truck driver tagged as the main suspect involved in a road smash-up that killed four people on the Katipunan Ave.-Aurora Blvd. flyover in Quezon City
The Quezon City police identified the suspect as Richard Mangupag, driver of the truck with license plate RJK 719 that triggered the multiple-vehicle collision last Dec. 5.
Mangupag was reportedly negotiating the flyover headed to C.P Garcia Ave. when the accident occurred.
The truck rammed several motorcycles and vehicles, leaving four people dead and at least 26 others wounded.
The mishap also caused damages to 16 motorcycles and five cars.
The truck driver fled, but was captured in a follow-up operation shortly after midnight on Friday.
