Korean actress Kim Sae-ron was found dead at her home on Sunday, Feb. 16, police said, as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.
The 24-year-old was discovered by a friend who had planned to meet her, according to police. Officials said that there were no immediate signs of foul play, but an investigation is ongoing.
“We have not found any signs of foul play as of yet, but we are investigating the circumstances of the death,” the authority said.
Kim, who gained fame as a child actress, was best known for her role in the 2010 film “The Man from Nowhere,@ which earned her critical acclaim. She went on to appear in numerous television dramas and films, including “High School Love On,” becoming one of South Korea’s most recognized young stars.
Her career faced setbacks in recent years following a drunk driving incident in 2022, which led to legal troubles and a period of public scrutiny. Despite this, she remained a well-known figure in the entertainment industry.
