SC denies immediate TRO for Duterte, but orders gov’t to comment

However, the SC directed the respondents to comment on the petition with prayer for TRO and/or writ of preliminary injunction within a non-extendible period of 10 days from notice.

Meanwhile, two other petitions were filed separately by Duterte’s children Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte and Veronica “Kitty” Duterte compelling the Philippine government to bring back the former president to the country.

Upon the order of the Chief Justice for a special raffle, both petitions have been raffled to a Member-in-Charge for appropriate action. — Pot Chavez
