The Fourth Filipinos Making Waves Festival to reels-off on August this year in Toronto
Sunday, 06.27.2010, 09:10pm (GMT-5)

The 4th Filipinos Making Waves Festival will again occupy the  Yonge-Dundas Square, center of activities in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on  August 21-August 22, 2010 (Saturday and Sunday).

This was announced by Ms. Teresa M. Torralba, the  president of the Focus Philippines and Friends Cultural Arts and Music and the overall producer-director of the FMWF.

Ms. Torralba said the festival will continue focusing its' program in promoting the cultural heritage, music, arts, and crafts of the Filipinos although she added that science will be an additional feature during this year's Filipinos Making Waves Festival.

She explained that this year's FMWF will be more colorful as it will showcase one of the islands of the  Philippines which is Mindanao.

The festival will not only cater to the Filipino community in Canada but also to foreign visitors who will be coming in by this summer month of  August.

Highlighting the event will be a parade, the performance of musical talents on stage both local and visiting groups, the participation of the youth, the trend in fashion showing the outfits coming from the island of Mindanao, the market place where people can buy Filipino made products, the kids zone, the richness in arts, and of course the reception.

For those who wish to sponsor, to put-up a booth, to show their art works, to perform musically both singing and dancing, please get in touch with Ms, Teresa M. Torralba through 416 - 458- 8004  and Email >>>  makingwaves2010@gmail.com  (St. Jamestown News Service)
