The Charice arrival in Toronto is a sensational affair for her fans. Over 2000 fans flocked to the hallways, stairs and balconies of the Eaton Centre in downtown Toronto, just to take a glimpse of their international star and Diva, Charice Pempengco!

The crowd were very excited and but well disciplined, however the security guards were just too overwhelmed by the waves of fans that just keeps on coming along. One guard commented “ I have never seen any thing like this in the Eaton Centre” and another guard just keep on saying.. “Please do not block the walkway, clear the way…clear the way…

As soon as Charice walked on her way to the stage, instant screams of jubilations exploded! And the fanfare began!  She is small but her voice is huge! The immense structure of the landmark, Eaton Centre… was drowned by her angelic voice, much more when everyone joined her in her song “The Pyramid”

The demand for her Pyramid Album was far beyond expectations, Indigo ran out of CD’s less than an hour after they opened their doors to the public that same day. One lady who was able to get an album was just brimming with pride as she raise her CD and swaying to the beat of one of Charice’s favourite song “ A note to God”. When the mini concert completed, in spite of the long wait standing with the packed crowd… everyone has the smile of satisfaction, after all they have finally seen and heard the pride and joy of all Filipinos.

We were lucky.. we were spared of the long line-ups... I brought my family and a few friends for a private moment with Charice before the show. Charice’ eyes lit up and added a big smile when I mentioned to her that I was her “Tito Jun” the one who interviewed her via phone a few weeks ago… It was indeed a happy reunion! I introduced my family to her, my daughters were just speechless… they can’t believe their favourite youtube and singing star is in front of them.

After a few minutes of greetings, picture taking and autograph signing we walked away with one of our conversation still in mind, Charice mentioned “yes, I would like to go back and perform in Toronto next year!”… We just can’t wait!  Can you?  junenverga@gmail.com
