"Jenifer Forever Concert 2" slated for on August 9, 2008 at the
Meadowvale Theater in Mississuaga is a Total Entertainment, Singing,
Dancing with the Best Musical Group. Jenifer Camacho's 2nd Concert will
benefit the Kababaihang Rizalista's project "The Street Children of
Baclaran in Manila". A "Total Performer" as Jenifer is commonly called
in Metro Toronto, was able to grouped young and talented performers for
her musical and entertainment show.
Jenifer, a performer and dancer since the age of 5 years old,
started her singing career in 1996 . She was featured in many community
newspapers for a successful result from her First Major Solo Concert
last March 11, 2006., On her first debut entitled "Jenifer Forever",
5,000 copies of her CDs were sold on the first week. Her songs included
"Hot", "On My Own", "Nasayang" and "Lost". This successful venture was
directed and produced by Jenifer Forever Production.
Sparkling
every minute, her poise, beauty and warm charm, Jenifer was crowned as
the Ms. Lakambini 2004" by the Kalayaan Centre in Mississauga, received
the Tuklas Female Vocalist of the year (1996) and Maharlika Award
Recepient.
Jenifer has contributed to different Filipino
projects and singing concerts for the benefit of Kalayaan Centre,
Destitute,Disabled and Autistic Children benefit show, and the St.
James Town Festival wherein she performed along with Gordon Lightfoot-
" Icon of Canadian Music World".
Also known as The First
Filipino Toronto Concert Diva, Jenifer had performed in behalf of
Pilita Corrales, Jessa Zaragoza, Dingdong Avanzado, Andrew E, Asin
Band, Side A Band, Anthony Castello , Jimmy Santos of Eat Bulaga,
German Moreno of Walang Tulugan Show, Mystica, Ethel Booba, Ara Mina,
Gwen Garci and many other professional and well known Filipino
entertainers.
For the Filipino Community, Jen presently is one of the Board of Directors of Kababaihang Rizalista Inc.
"Jenifer
Forever Concert 2" will also features a young talent, Ms. Inah
Canlapan, who at tender age of 10, competed & sang onstage for the
first time at the 2005 Carrassauga Festival Filipino Singing Idol
Competition (junior division) at Hershey Centre in Mississauga and
ranked 3rd place at the Grand Finals in Wonderland during the Filipino
Day Celebration organized by Culture Philippines of Ontario (CPO.) Inah
was a guest singer Mr. Jose Mari Chan, the legendary
singer/producer/composer from the Philippines in his concert at John
Bassett Convention Centre. She laso performed in the recently concluded
successful concert of Ms. Jessa Zaragosa, Dingdong Avanzado & Fe
delos Reyes at the Music Hall in Toronto.
Inah who is now 13
years old, grade 8 student is an active member of the Himig Chorale
Group in Toronto and a talent of the Philippine Arts and Cultural
Experience (PACE) organization. Presently, Inah holds the October 2007
Mobistar title, a singing & popularity competition launched in
Toronto this past year and will compete in the Grand Finals this coming
August 2008.
"Rock and Roll Mama," Ms. Zena Zagala is regaled by
everyone! Ms. Zagala is the only female Elvis Presley singer in town.
Every time she performs: Experience, laughter, fun, fun, fun, smile on
faces, is what she gets from the audience replies. She wins their
hearts. Ms. Zagala who had a sold out "King and Queens Concert" last
July 2006, started as a secretary to another Filipino Singing Icon,
Rico J. Puno. She has performed in various Filipino Community Events
which she enjoys that led to many numerous awards for her
contributions. She is an entertainment package.
Exciting,
beautiful, young and talented Jean Ashley Suva is an added attraction
for this concert. Born and raised in Toronto, student at Francis
Libermann Catholic High School, Ashley likes to cook, read, sing, play
the guitar, play football, and volleyball. Her first public singing
performance was in New Jersey, USA and was a back up dancer for Jenifer
Camacho at Harbor Front, PIDC who eventually became as one of Jenifer
Camacho's guest singer for A Marvellous Christmas Dinner. Ashley, after
high school, intends to attend college for mechanical engineering - she
loves to design cars and also wants to able to fly airplanes in the
future.
To ensure that the Jenifer Forever concert 2 becomes as
total entertainment, the production has Ms. Ruth Dorotheo and her
dancers. Ms. Dorotheo's group brings a wealth of teaching and
performing experience to the Jenifer Camacho Forever 2 Concert. Ruth's
dance background comes with technical accreditations- CDTA Jazz
Teacher's Diploma, Professional Teachers' Certificates in Latin &
Ballroom, and graduate of the prestigious BFA dance degree from York
University. She has been resident dance faculty with Columbus Centre,
Seneca College, York University and The Spanish Centre. Her musical
theatre choreography credits include Fame & Fosse with Living Arts
Centre. She has also directed and choreographed Greasers, Joseph and
the Multicoloured Dreamcoat for Vita Players. She has worked with
sports teams as Toronto Argonaut Cheerleader, Toronto Blue Jays and
choreographer for the Toronto Raptors Halftime Show at ACC. As a
performer, she has toured with Salsa Team Canada with performances in
Toronto, Montreal & PuertoRico.
Music from Daniel Yap, as a
Musical Director makes the show complete. Mr. Yap, a debonoire young
bachelor is excited to perform since this concert will be his biggest
production ever. A pianist/keyboard player of the God Made Me Funky
Musical Band, Daniel is only on his twenties and presently attending
his 5th year at Humber College specializing in music. It is a pleasure
and wonderful working with Jenny C, he states.
