Propelled by the duo of Chris Bitoon and Aris Dionisio, home team Manila-Frontrow cruised to a fourth victory after thrashing Batangas City-Tanduay, 73-50, in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Lakan Cup on Tuesday night at the San Andres Sports Complex.
Bitoon hit 20 points highlighted by three triples while reigning Defensive Player of the Year Dionisio contributed 12 markers, as the Stars’ record improved to 4-1.
The former St. Clare College standouts also combined for 16 rebounds, seven assists and two steals.

Jeff Viernes had 12 points while Jason Melano and Jhaymo Eguilos had 10 markers apiece to go with a combined 15 rebounds but still not enough to prevent Batangas from suffering its first defeat following a season-opening win.
Meanwhile, GenSan pulverized Biñan behind a balanced attack for a 3-2 record.
Robby Celiz fired 16 points while Mike Williams tallied 15 markers on top of 12 assists to lead three other Warriors in twin-digit scoring.

James Mangahas had 18 points and Mark Anthony Acosta had 16 markers for the Heroes, who fell to 2-3.
Earlier in the game day opener, Basilan banked on Bobby Balucanag and Gab Dagangon to fend off Marikina.
Balucanag pumped in a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds while Dagangon also racked up 18 markers to go with eight boards and four assists, lifting the Steel past the pesky Shoemasters for a 3-1 slate.
Anthony Bringas and Cris Dumapig contributed big with 15 and 13 points, respectively, on top of a combined 25 rebounds in the close win.
Von Tambeling had 18 points, Yves Sazon had 17 markers and Daryl Pascual had a 15-point, 17-board output for Marikina that remained winless in five matches.
