Kamuning Bakery mounts medical missions

As part of the month-long celebration of 5th World Pandesal Day, Kamuning Bakery Cafe holds two unique free medical missions to benefit urban poor families for free medical, dental and optical services.

The first mission happened on October 6 while the second will be held on October 27.

Located at No. 43 Judge Jimenez Street corner K-1st Street, Barangay Kamuning Quezon City, the 80-year-old Kamuning Bakery Cafe and its Caloocan branch below LRT 5th Avenue Station will also distribute free 70,000 pandesal breads, free Eden cheese, Mega sardines, Hobe and Fly Ace noodles on the exact day of #WorldPandesalDay on October 16 starting at 8:30 a.m.

Despite suffering a destructive fire last year caused by a neighboring resto bar and still recovering, Kamuning Bakery Cafe continues its unique civic and cultural projects like this annual World Pandesal Day, the non-partisan Pandesal Forum and the annual World Poetry Day celebration every March 21.

Kamuning Bakery Cafe’s partnes in these free medical, dental and optical missions are the Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center led by James Dy on October 6 and the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. led by officers Henry Lim Bon Liong, William Castro, Antonio Cosing and Alberto Aquilino on October 27.
