Pinoy pug Pamisa bags silver in ASBC

Fifteen-year-old Eljay Pamisa settled for a silver medal after losing to India’s Vishvanath Singh via 3-2 split decision in the pinweight (46-kilogram) finals of Asian Boxing Confederation (ASBC) Asian Juniors Boxing Championships on Thursday (Philippine time) in Al Fujaira, United Arab Emirates.

Singh defeated Uzbekistan’s Ikboljon Kudratov by way of 4-1 decision while Pamisa beat Thailand’s Thanakon Aonyaem via unanimous decision in the semifinals.

Pamisa was accompanied by coaches Gerson Nietes and Elias Recaido.
