Winwyn Marquez is glad beauty standards seem to be changing in international pageants.
The Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 told PEP people now don’t simply look at physical, but for a woman with depth.
The topic is in view of Miss Venezuela 2015 Mariam Habach’s comment, alleging she did not make it into the Top 16 of the Miss Universe 2016 pageant because judges favored Siera Bearchell of Canada, whom she called a “fat placer.”
Winwyn continued, “People are smart now. They want depth sa isang babae, iyong alam iyong nangyayari, current events.
“Gusto nila iyong makaka-share kung ano iyong maitutulong nila sa environment or sa society, di ba?vI think people are smart now so even if someone will body-shame a candidate, the viewers or iyong mga nagsu-support sa candidate, will always stay by their side no matter how they look like.”
