Hyun Bin under self-quarantine after filming in Jordan

Korean actor Hyun Bin, star of the hit drama “Crash Landing on You,” has returned to South Korea after filming his new movie in Jordan.

He arrived at Incheon International Airport on Sept. 12 and underwent testing for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). He will be under self-quarantine for two weeks based on government regulations.

All foreign and Korean travellers are required to undergo quarantine for 14 days upon their arrival in South Korea. Those who reside in Korea will self-quarantine at home.

Hyun Bin went to Jordan on July 13 on a chartered flight along with co-stars Hwang Jung-min and Kang Ki-young to film “Bargaining,” aka “Negotiation.” Upon arrival in Jordan, they underwent self-quarantine for eight days before filming started.

“Bargaining” tell the story of the rescue of Koreans abducted in the Middle East. Hyun Bin plays the role of an agent from Korea’s National Intelligence Service.

The 37-year-old actor was supposed to arrive in Korea on Sept. 10 but his flight was delayed.

According to Korean media, Hyun Bin kept his return flight schedule a secret but fans who recognized him at Doha International Airport posted it on social media. He arrived in Korea with his manager.

He thanked fans who welcomed him at Incheon airport but told them not to come close due to health concerns.

Hwang Jung-min returned to Korea on Sept. 2 while Kang Ki-young went back on Sept. 9. Both are also under self-quarantine.

“Bargaining” was scheduled to be filmed in Jordan the end of March but did not push through because of the pandemic. The crew started filming scenes in Korea first and after discussing with the Jordanian government, they were allowed to go to the country to film the movie for two months.

Hyung Bin is reportedly still mulling about starring in the sequel to his 2017 hit film “Confidential Assignment” with actor Yoo Hae-jin. The sequel will also have Yoona and Daniel Henney in the cast and the filming will start early next year, according to Korean media.
