Among those killed were Bonifacio Magramo alias “Boywan”/”Salvador Luminoso,” Noel Siasico alias “Ka Celnon,” and Andrea Rosal alias “Naya,” daughter of the late rebel leader and spokesman Gregorio “Ka Roger” Rosal, according to information from the 3rd Marine Brigade.
Magramo served as secretary of the Sub-Regional Military Area-4E or overall head of the NPA in Palawan while Rosal was his deputy secretary and Siasico headed a platoon, according to the military.

The military identified the slain soldier as SSgt. Cesar Barlas.
The clash occurred Sitio Kubuyoan, Brgy. Mainit, 5:53 a.m. and lasted for eight minutes.
Members of the 61st Marine Company under the Force Reconnaisance Group and Marine Battalion Landing Team-4 were in the area because some indigenous peoples have been reporting the presence of armed persons, said Capt. Orchelyn Bobis, 3rd Marine Brigade spokesperson.
Troops have been conducting intensified operations in Palawan to beef up the province’s security, the Armed Forces’ Western Command said in a statement confirming the incident.
“Nakakalungkot ang pangyayaring ito, kaya ako ay muling nananawagan na sumuko ang ilan pang nalalabing NPA sa kabundukan,” Brig. Gen. Nestor Herico, 3rd Marine Brigade commander, said in a separate statement.
