Media worker shot dead in Sorsogon City

A media practitioner died after being shot by still unidentified assailants in Sorsogon City, Monday night. Killed was Jobert Bercasio, 39, a resident of Brgy. Buenavista, Bacon district, according to a report from the Bicol regional police.

Bercasio, a former reporter of local radio DZMS, was an anchor of Balangibog online news TV when he was killed. The incident occurred around 7:55 p.m., near Seabreeze Homes Subdivision, Brgy. Cabid-an.

Bercasio was riding his scooter from Sorsogon proper when he was waylaid by two men wearing helmets and black jackets, regional police spokesperson Maj. Ma. Luisa Calubaquib said. He sustained four gunshot wounds in the body.
