Subic port opens customer care center

SUBIC BAY FREEPORT — The Bureau of Customs (BoC) Port of Subic recently opened its Customer Care Center (CCC) here to further provide better, credible, and efficient customs services to the public.

District Collector Maritess Martin said the CCC will become a one-stop shop for transactions with the BoC that includes document receiving and releasing, payment, document tracking, information, and other services without the hassle and long lines.

“This will restrict stakeholders from directly transacting with any Customs officials, examiners, appraisers, and other personnel of the BoC to minimize the opportunity for illegal practices. The CCC will be the main focal point of BoC stakeholders for all customs-related inquiries,” Martin said.

She also emphasized the importance of instituting reforms and modernization for a streamlined customs administration in line with international standards.
