Sultan Kudarat irrigation projects

The plight of farmers in Sultan Kudarat is expected to improve after the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) recently turned over P66.7 million worth of irrigation projects.

The infrastructure projects in Columbio town are composed of the P56.9-million Dalol communal irrigation system that will benefit 460 hectares of farmlands and the P9.8-million Macadiz small irrigation project, that has a service area of 57 hectares located in Barangay Datalblao.

SOCCSKSARGEN regional director Marion Abella said the irrigation projects were implemented under the DAR’s Mindanao Sustainable Agrarian and Agriculture Development Project.
