Manila Pianos Artists Series presents “Beethoven for Street Children: A Virtual Fundraising Concert Series” celebrating the 250th birth anniversary of one of the greatest composers who ever lived, Ludwig van Beethoven. Five virtual concerts will be shown on 3, 6, 10, 13 and 17 (Beethoven’s birthday) December.
Proceeds from this project through sponsorship and donations would go to the street children under the wing of Childhope Philippines Foundation Inc. These will aid them amid the pandemic and help provide better access to education, health and counseling services.
World-renowned pianist Mariel Ilusorio is at the helm of the fundraiser. It will feature Beethoven’s 10 Violin Sonatas, which she will perform with 10 young and promising violinists, aged 16 to 28 years old. They represent the University of Santo Tomas, University of the Philippines, St. Scholastica’s College, Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra and Casa San Miguel. The Ten Violin Sonatas are a monumental set and the study of these pieces is essential for every violinist and for every pianist who is a serious chamber musician.
WORLD-RENOWNED pianist Mariel Ilusorio.
