Macauley Culkin
These were the words expressed by the award-winning Hollywood director Chris Columbus in an interview with Insider last Nov. 16.
Columbus made the reaction following reports that the blockbuster films that catapulted Macauley Culkin to stardom would be reprised. He admitted that he is not aware of Disney+ plans of a remake, saying that not every film should be remade, especially with the longevity that the Home Alone sequels have achieved.

Columbus even confessed that “Home Alone 2” isn’t really necessary aside from the stunts that made him laugh while also wondering about how Ryan Reynold’s “Stoned Alone” would have looked like if pursued.
“Listen, have fun. I just feel, do something new. Life is short,” he added.
Columbus, 62, directed both “Home Alone” and “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York,” including two of the eight Harry Potter films: “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” and “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.”
