In an IFC-UN Women report, InLife was listed among the global companies and organizations that took concrete actions in ensuring the economic inclusion and social well-being of their women employees, customers, suppliers, and local communities amid COVID-19 pandemic.
“During this pandemic and community quarantine, InLife provides insurance and health care products to Filipinos, particularly women, through our fully digital operations,” Aguas said.
“InLife also continues to empower women through our Sheroes program’s financial literacy initiatives,” she added.
In the area of “ensuring equal access to financial and non-financial services,” IFC and UN Women cited InLife’s fully digital insurance selling system called Virtual Business Enabler (ViBE), InLifeSheroes program, and InLife Health Care.
“By using the ViBE platform, InLife’s financial advisers have been able to complete insurance sales with no face-to-face contact with their clients, but still enable them to buy the important insurance products they need,” the publication “Bridging the Gap: Emerging Private Sector Response and Recovery Measures for Gender Equality amid COVID-19” stated.
“InLife, with IFC’s help, also re-aligned its gender-sensitivity training program for its agents into a virtual format during COVID-19 so that the agents can continue engaging with women customers,” the report further said.
The publication also said that InLifeSheroes’s webinars have equipped Filipino women entrepreneurs with the
tools they need to respond to financial challenges amid pandemic.
It also cited that the webinars’ information materials that contained ways to maintain women’s physical, psychological, and financial well-being during the crisis.
Likewise, IFC and UN Women’s report also noted that InLife Health Care had extended the coverage for COVID-19-related claims across all its health-care products, including the affordable pre-paid health-care emergency cards.
