The Bureau of Immigration (BI) arrested on Thursday a Bahrain national wanted in his country for rape.
BI Commissioner Jaime Morente identified the suspect as Alsendi Waleed Abdulla Hamad, 43. He was arrested by the Fugitives Search Unit in Barangay San Francisco II, Dasmariñas, Cavite.
Morente issued the mission order for Hamad’s arrest upon orders from the Department of Justice.
Hamad was the subject of an arrest warrant, issued by the public prosecutor’s office of Bahrain, for sexual assault and possession of pornographic materials.
Consequently, an Interpol red notice against him was issued two years ago.
“He will be summarily deported as his presence here and record as a sex offender pose a serious threat,” Morente said.
