Pampanga sets up vaccination centers

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — The provincial government of Pampanga will be setting up provincial and municipal vaccination centers that will be the heart of operations in the mass vaccination of Kapampangans.

According to special assistant to the governor Angelina Blanco, the centers will have a Planning Campaign Management and Technical Team, Cold Chain and Logistics Team, Coordination Team, Vaccine Safety Surveillance and Response Team, Communication Advocacy Team and a Partnership Team.

She said that security teams are also needed in the transport of vaccines from the center to the areas of vaccinations.

The vaccination of an individual will include counseling, screening and observation.

The vaccination program of Pampanga aims to inoculate 250 individuals per day in every cell of a district inside the provincial and district hospitals, including the 30 private hospitals in the province.

The first to receive the vaccines will be the 30,000 medical frontliners of Pampanga.

Meanwhile, Governor Dennis Pineda inspected the provincial vaccine cold storage facility of the provincial government, which is in partnership with the Provincial Manpower and Training Center, General Services Office and the Provincial Engineering Office.

The facility has six freezers that can accommodate 600,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccines procured by the province.
