Motorcycle accident claims 2 lives

BAGUIO CITY — A Sangguniang Bayan member of Sudipen, La Union and his backrider were killed after their motorcycle crashed into a signage post along the national highway in Barangay San Blas, Bangar, La Union.

Initial reports identified the victims as Sudipen councilor Edwin Belisoa Jr. and Ronald Lipurada, both residents of Barangay Ilocano, Sudipen, La Union.

The Bangar Police narrated that the two were on board a motorcycle and traversing the northbound side of the road when Belisoa lost control of the vehicle and crashed onto a signage post.

The victims were rushed to the Balaoan District Hospital in Balaoan, La Union where Lipurada was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. Belisoa, meanwhile, died while undergoing treatment.
