Butuan City — Authorities here reported that operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency of Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA BARMM) seized alleged shabu worth P3,475,000 during a sting operation.
Anti-narcotic agents of the PDEA BARMM, together with Regional Highway Patrol Unit, City Police Drug Enforcement Unit, Police Station-1 and City Intelligence Unit conducted the operation at the vicinity of a fast food chain parking lot in Cotabato City.
In a statement, the PDEA BARMM said that its operatives have arrested the suspects identified as Elena Minala Daud and Sarah Badani Parok following the buy-bust operation.
Authorities seized from the suspects 10 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated worth of P3,475,000, the marked money, one piece brown paper bag, two units cellular phone and assorted identification cards.
The suspects are now under the custody of PDEA jail facility and are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002.
