Grass fire razes Mt. Kulago

Authorities on Thursday reported that a fire with still of unknown origin razed the Mt. Kulago mountain range — favorite mountain destination in the town of Impasugong in Bukidnon.

According to Higa-onon tribal leader Datu Romeo Santo, the fire broke out Wednesday afternoon and still spreading to the hundreds of hectares tribal lands in the area.

Earlier, Santo reported that unidentified men — believed to be members of the New People’s Army — were seen brandishing assault rifles while driving Higa-onon tribesmen away from the mountain.
