ORION, Bataan — The Philippine National Police (PNP) in Bataan has extended its helping hand to the Aeta community in Sitio Bayan-Bayanan Barangay Gen. Lim here as part of their Barangayanihan program.
In a statement, Lt. Col Galahad D. Taqueban, commander of the Second Mobile Force Company of the Bataan PNP, said that they have conducted a feeding program in line with the PNP Patrol Plan 2030 in partnership with Maagap Baron, Maagap Baron Lady, Maagap Corrigedor, Eagles Club and CACG in support to PRO 3 Barangayanihan.
The PNP official said that the program seeks to strengthen the relationship between the PNP under the leadership of Col. Joel Tampis, Bataan police director, and the community amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.
“It is also an opportunity to create the perception that we are empowering the basic unit governance-barangay. This activity was launched to help the community who are greatly affected by the Covid-19 and extending bayanihan spirit within the community,” Taqueban said.
