Senator Christopher Lawrence ‘Bong’ Go continues to extend his assistance to those who are in need especially now that the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic still affecting lives and livelihood.
The senator’s team provided meals, food packs, vitamins, masks and face shields to a total of 1,676 residents at the Balay Kauswagan and local covered courts in Barangays Poblacion II, Rafaela Barrera, Malubon, Paraiso and Fabrica in Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
Over at Quinapondan, Eastern Samar, Go’s team also extended assistance in batches at Barangay San Isidro, where they provided the same aid to 40 families affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Selected beneficiaries also received new pairs of shoes or bicycles while others were given computer tablets for their children’s blended learning activities.
Personnel from the Department of Social Welfare and Development also distributed financial assistance as part of the government’s intervention measures for communities in distress.
The Department of Trade and Industry and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, in turn, assessed beneficiaries for their respective assistance programs.
