Shamcey Supsup-Lee to Rabiya Mateo: ‘I am confident you will make us proud’

Shamcey Supsup-Lee, Miss Universe Philippines National Director, has expressed confidence that Miss Philippines Rabiya Mateo will make the country proud at the 69th Miss Universe Competition ongoing in Hollywood, Florida.

“To @rabiyamateo , you continually surprise us with your tenacity and drive to be better everyday.

“All your hard work and sacrifices have led you to the Miss Universe Competition, and I am confident that you will continue to make us proud. Just remember that you are already a winner no matter what,” said Shamcey on Instagram May 9.

Shamcey, who won 3rd runner-up at 2021 Miss Universe pageant in Brazil, also thanked the Filipino pageant fans for their support to Rabiya.

“And to all the Filipino Fans, thank you for the overwhelming support. Para sa inyo ang laban na to!” she wrote.

Shamcey said that she will fly to Miami to support Rabiya on her quest for 5th Miss Universe crown for the Philippines.

“The journey to the Universe wasn’t easy, but it’s definitely worth it! See you in Miami!”

The grand finals of the 69th Miss Universe Competition will be held on May 16 (May 17 in Manila).
