Kabayan’s wife Arlene passes away

Arlene Sinsuat, wife of former Vice President and TV Patrol anchor Noli de Castro died on Saturday morning, their daughter, PTV-4 General Manager Katherine de Castro confirmed in a Facebook post.

“I love you mommy very much, rest now mommy,” De Castro posted.

No details were posted yet as they are finalizing the details of the funeral.

Arlene Sinsuat-De Castro was born in Cotabato 18 April 1955. She was 66.

She began to work with ABS-CBN Corporation after the EDSA Revolution in 1986 as Executive Producer and promoted as Executive vice president of the News and Current Affairs during the 1990’s.

She also continued producing programs after her ABS-CBN stint, including “Swak na Swak” under her own production outfit, Bayan Productions.

Many personalities and former colleagues in the industry sent their condolences including Mon Confiado, Jed Madela, Film Development Council of the Philippines president and CEO Liza Diño-Seguerra, and ABS-CBN News Chief Ging Reyes.

The Presidential Communications Operations Office sent their condolences to the family of De Castro at the end of Laging Handa Press Briefing on Saturday.
