Pampanga scholars receive aid

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — A total of 763 college scholars from six towns in this province received financial aid worth P3,000 as part of the provincial government’s thrust to enhance the education of scholars here.

The aid is under the Educational Financial Assistance Program (EFAP) of Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan and the first distribution was conducted in the localities of Candaba with 121 scholars, San Luis with 104 scholars and San Simon with 99 scholars.

Meantime, the second distribution was conducted in the localities of Macabebe with 173 scholars, Masantol with 162 scholars and Apalit with 203 scholars.

Second District Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab led the distribution of financial aid along with 4th District Board Members Nelson Calara and Pol Balingit, Pampanga Councilor’s League president Board Member Venancio Macapagal and ABC president Board Member Renato Mutuc.

The funds for the financial assistance came from the Provincial Government, the Governor’s Office, Provincial Library and the Provincial Treasurer’s Office.
