Kaagapay Class members lauded

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Eight members of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) 1996 ‘Kaagapay class’ were given special recognitions for their laudable acts in police service while the Mariveles station was adjugded as ‘Best regional Philippine National Police (PNP) station for 2020 during the 120th Police Service Anniversary of Central Luzon or Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3).

B/Gen. Valeriano de Leon, PNP Central Luzon director and Bulacan governor Daniel Fernando personally led the awarding as they recognized Col. Romell A. Velasco, chief of Community Affairs and Development Division as “Best Senior PCO For Administration”; Col. Lawrence B. Cajipe, of Bulacan Police provincial office (PPO) as “Best Senior Officer for Operations”; Col. Arnold Thomas Ibay, Police director of Pampanga, as “Best Police Provincial Office”; and Col. Rommel S. Batangan, City director of Angeles City police as “Outstanding City Police Office.”

Special Recognitions were also given to the regional staff led by Col. Joy e Patrick B. Sangalang, chief of RPRMD3; Col. David N. Poklay, chief of RID3; Col. Rudecindo L. Reales, chief of RCD3, and Col. Fitz A. Macariola, Force Commander of Regional Mobile Force Battalion.

Meantime, the PRO3 leadership also feted the Mariveles PNP station, then headed by its chief of police Lt. Col. Cesar Lumiwes, as Best Police Regional Office for Calendar Year 2020.

The award was received by Lt. Col. Galahad Taqueban, incumbent chief of Mariveles PNP station who vowed to continue the programs started by Lumiwes.
