FORMER senator and Partido Federal ng Pilipinas standard-bearer Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and his running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio rallied for the support of Laguna voters over the weekend, saying that the country can overcome challenges if the people are united.

Speaking before thousands of Lagunenses at the capitol compound in Sta. Cruz, Laguna last Friday, Marcos said the country has been able to overcome challenges that it faced because Filipinos united and worked together.

Natutunan po natin na walang ibang tutulong sa Pilipino kundi kapwa Pilipino din (We overcame all crises and calamities because we were united. We learned that no one else will help Filipinos but fellow Filipinos),” he said.

He called on the people to unite and work with the government because that is the key to progress and development.

Sama-sama po tayong babangong muli (No matter how hardworking, good and loving a Filipino is, he cannot do it alone. That’s why we brought our call for unity here so that we will not only lift the Philippines from the pandemic, we will uplift the country so that every Filipino can walk with their head up anywhere in the world. We will all rise together),” Marcos said.
