Toronto police identify 25-year-old man shot dead in Swansea

The man has been identified in a police news release Saturday as 25-year-old Jack Loor-Walters of the Greater Toronto Area.
Police have identified a man who was shot dead in Toronto’s west-end Swansea neighbourhood on Thursday. 

Police responded to a call on April 28 just before 10 p.m. after gunshots were heard near The Queensway and Windermere Avenue.

Officers found a man with a gunshot wound inside a vehicle. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The man has been identified in a police news release Saturday as 25-year-old Jack Loor-Walters of the Greater Toronto Area.

His death marks Toronto’s 22nd homicide in 2022.

Police say a 27-year-old man who was a passenger in the vehicle was treated for a gunshot wound, which was not life-threatening.

Police are asking the public to contact police if they have dash-camera footage.
