FILIPINO British Hannah White made her presence felt in the 2022 Ho Chi Minh Age Group Championships by winning five medals in the two-day meet held in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

White, an ABC International School-Vietnam standout, delivered two silver and three bronze medals for the country in the girls' 10-year category.
“It has been a long week of competition for Hannah, and this competition made her realise that there are a lot more challenging swimmers in the other country,” said Jenny White — the mother cum coach of Hannah.
In individual events, White, who is a member of Swim League Philippines and Behrouz Elite Swimming Team, pocketed a silver in the girls' 10-year 100m freestyle in one minute and 15.87.

She also secured a couple of bronzes in the 100m individual medley (1:26.02) and 50m freestyle (33.05) events.
“Our home grassroots, a Swim League Philippines campaigner, never gave up. She has shown that she can bring the pride of her country. It was a difficult and very, very challenging competition for Hannah White, but she stood up to win the medals and beat all her PB's and became the top 3 in the city,” Jenny added.
In team events, White secured a silver in the 200m medley relay and a bronze in the 200m freestyle relay.
“We would like to thank you, District 5 team, especially to coach Diem and Sam and all the coaches that support Hannah to be part of the team here in Vietnam. Hannah you are a star. Never give up,” Jenny said.
Hannah is the younger sister of Heather and Ruben — both gold medalists in the recently-concluded Philippine National Age-Group Championships held at the Rizal Memorial Complex.
