CEB resumes Cebu-Singapore flights

Cebu Pacific (CEB) restarted its direct flights from Cebu to Singapore on Friday, July 15, to boost international operations from its Visayas hub.

This was the second international destination that CEB resumed this month.

CEB will be operating the route thrice weekly, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Flight 5J 547 departs from the Mactan Cebu International Airport Terminal 2 at 11:05PM and arrives at Changi International Airport at 3:00AM the following day.

Its return flight, 5J 548, with flights every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, is scheduled to leave Singapore at 4:00AM, and will arrive in Cebu at 8:05AM.

The direct flights enable passengers from 22 other domestic destinations to fly to Singapore via Cebu.

These includes Clark, Davao, Dumaguete, Tacloban, and Zamboanga, among others.

“We are excited to bring this route back to allow more passengers from Cebu and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao to fly internationally without passing through Manila,” explained CEB Pacific Chief Commercial Officer Xander Lao.

“This route resumption is part of our continuous efforts to restore our pre-pandemic systemwide capacity,” he added.

Apart from Singapore, the carrier has resumed its flights to Seoul from its Cebu hub earlier this month.

Fully vaccinated guests entering Singapore are not required to submit a pre-departure COVID-19 test and are not required to undergo quarantine upon arrival.

Instead, they must present their proof of full vaccination (VaxCertPH or BOQ Yellow Card), and fill out a Singapore Arrival card three days before arrival.

Coming home to Cebu, boosted Filipinos no longer need to take a COVID test pre-departure.

CEB continues to offer its guaranteed low fares to stimulate travel across its widest domestic network in the Philippines.

It continues to implement a multi-layered approach to safety, while it operates with a 100 percent fully vaccinated crew, 95 percent of whom have been boosted.
