Exactly a week ago today, top actor and heartthrob Joshua Garcia sent the SM Mall of Asia shoppers into ”kilig mode” when he personally opened the 100th store of Australia’s healthy yogurt drink, Koomi, in the Philippines.
Brought to the country from Sydney by Visum Ventures Group, Koomi has gained an ardent following of Koomikadas, who are fun, creative, cheerful and engaging. More importantly, this health-conscious crew knows where to go if they want to enjoy delicious and refreshing drinks, cakes and frozen yogurt guilt-free.
Ticking all the boxes, Koomi Philippines chose Joshua Garcia as the brand’s very first Filipino endorser in time for the landmark opening of the 100th store.
In step with Koomi’s fun and healthy lifestyle, Garcia happily admitted he’s been a loyal Koomikada even before the brand reached out to him. He said in a pocket interview during the event that whenever he needs a delicious energy boost, he heads straight to a Koomi bar, which is always mixing fresh fruits and other healthy ingredients like grains and nuts with their natural drinking yogurt and fruit honey.
“The best sellers are Avo Nice Day, Mango Moo, and my personal favorite, the Will Ube Mine,” he smiled and melted hearts.
“Their frozen yogurt is perfect for those craving for a healthy, refreshing dessert and comes in their signature Simply Koomi and Waterberry Wonder. Hilton recalls that he was with Miss International 2018 1st runner-up Ahtisa Manalo — now the event and PR director of his company — in Sydney, Australia when he saw a long line of people outside a Koomi shop and decided to try it.
“I took one sip and knew we needed to bring this guiltless goodness drink to the Philippines. Before we launched Koomi, we worked on the flavors that would best suit the Filipino palate and made sure it had just the right amount of tartness without being too sour. The original blend is the Aussie flavor. We then tweaked it a bit for those who prefer their drinks to be on the sweeter side,” Hilton explained.
With the opening of the 100th store, the businessman attributes Koomi’s growth to its health benefits, an essential attribute during and in the middle of a global pandemic. “You get to indulge without the guilt and enjoy your favorite fruits and fun add-ons with our natural drinking yogurt that contains probiotics good for your gut.
