Taylor Swift goes for six-of-six wins at American Music Awards

Taylor Swift loomed large at the recent American Music Awards, winning in all the categories she was nominated in.

The event was held Sunday, November 20, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.

Swift’s haul include Artist of the year honors.

The “All Too Well” singer also won Favorite Pop Album for “Red (Taylor’s Version).”

The singer acknowledged Chris Stapleton and Phoebe Bridgers who both appeared on said album.

“This album is a re-recorded album and I cannot tell you how much my re-recorded albums mean to me, But I never expected or assumed that they would mean anything,” Swift said.

Swift also took home the Favorite Music Video trophy for “All Too Well: The Short Film” which featured Dylan O’Brien and Sadie Sink of “Stranger Things” fame.

Swift was also awarded the Favorite Female Country Artist and Favorite Female Pop Artist as well as the Favorite Country Album plum.

Taylor Swift took the chance to thank her fans for her success, saying “I have the fans to thank, essentially, for my happiness. I love you more than I can say. I cannot express how unbelievable it is to me that I still get to do this and that you still care. So thank you, underlined by 13 exclamation points. I don’t know what to say.”

Swift’s six-for-six wins brings her total AMA wins to 40 — the most for any music artist in AMA’s history.
