National Museum reiterates video recording is prohibited inside premises

On Facebook, they informed followers that taking videos is not allowed inside the museum.

They also reminded: Do not touch the paintings, sculptures, and other objects on display. Avoid leaning on glass showcases and pedestals.”

The management also urged guests to treat works of art and specimens on display with “utmost care and respect.”

The reminder was issued after freelance artist Rodney James De Guzman expressed disappointment over two teenagers who were caught on camera recording themselves while inside the museum.

Noticeably, the two used a certain artwork as phone stand.

Rodney wrote: “mag appreciate at matuto (cross mark) magTIKTOK at patungan ng cellphone ang artwork. FYi that is a marble artwork, nakalagay na do not touch, PINATUNGAN NAMAN!”
