The Presidential Communications Office announced on Tuesday, Jan. 17, that the President made the appointments at the Commission on Filipinos Overseas, Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), and Intramuros Administration.
Marcos tapped Romulo Victoria Arugay as the new chairman of the Commission on Filipinos Overseas, an agency under the Office of the President.
He also designated Mario Imperial Molina as an acting member of the Board of Trustees of the GSIS and Joan Masilang Padilla as the new administrator of the Intramuros, an attached agency of the Department of Tourism.
Last week, Marcos also appointed several government officials to various positions such as the Office of the Senior Deputy Executive Secretary under the Office of the President, Social Security Commission of the Social Security System, Philippine Competition Commission, and Development Bank of the Philippines.
The President, however, has yet to appoint a new Health Secretary. The department only has an acting chief since he assumed the presidency last year. — Betheena Unite
