Sandara Park surprised, happy Pinoys still recognize her

K-pop artist Sandara Park (Dara), former member of group 2NE1, said she felt surprised and happy that Filipinos still recognized her.

Dara visited Clark Freeport Zone in the Philippines together with Jinu of K-pop boy band Winner, former NU’EST members Aron and JR, and rapper Dindin to film the Korean variety show “Idol Truck.”  She boarded her flight from Korea to Clark on June 5.

She lived in the Philippines for many years where she also started her showbiz career before moving to South Korea and debuting in 2NE1 in 2009.

“Sobrang nakakagulat at nakakaflatter na hanggang ngayon, kilalang kilala pa ako ng mag Pinoy. Maraming salamat sa love & support nyo sakin~!!! Mahal ko kayo~!!! Forever~!! (It was really surprising and flattering that until now, Pinoys still know me. Thank you very much for your love & support. I love you. Forever),” Dara posted on Twitter on June 8.

She added, “Question! Pano nyo ba ako naalala hanggang ngayon kahit matagal nako wla sa Phil. Tv show. Sa halos lahat ng generation, naalala pa nila ako. Kahit sa mall, sa market, sa restuarant, sa lahat ng places. Kakagulat hehe I’m so happy!!! (Question! How can you still remember me until now though I’ve been absent from Philippine TV show for a long time. Almost all generations, they still remember me. Even in malls, markets, restaurants, in all places. It’s surprising. I’m so happy).”

According to the Clark Development Corp., Dara chose to spotlight Clark as the filming location for “Idol Truck.”

Among the sites where the show was filmed were the Hotel Stotsenberg, Cafe BOM, Hotel Seoul, and other areas within the zone.

With its strategic location, vast green spaces, and world-class facilities, Clark has drawn the attention of local and international productions and filmmakers.

Some of the shows that have made Freeport the filming location include the Korean drama titled “Big Bet” and local television shows such as “Ang Probinsyano” and “It’s Showtime.”
