Inaugural Famas Prestige Awards honors excellence in multiple fields

The inaugural Famas Prestige Awards, held at The Manila Hotel’s Fiesta Pavilion, was a resounding success, celebrating outstanding achievements across various sectors.

Organized by the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (Famas), the ceremony honored individuals and organizations for their contributions to governance, public service, education, heritage, art, culture, business, entrepreneurship and film.

Atty. Hazel Rebadulla Riguera. A multifaceted entrepreneur and legal expert, Riguera has expanded her ventures beyond the legal profession, owning and managing businesses in education, agribusiness, property development and legal publishing. She is the driving force behind the Jurists Bar Review Center, pioneering mock bar exams and bar coaching in the Philippines—significantly boosting bar exam pass rates.

Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) Chief Persida Acosta. Recognized for Excellence in Public Service, Acosta was honored for her dedicated service to the public and her work in ensuring access to justice for marginalized sectors of society.

Jose Lina Jr. President of The Manila Hotel. Lina received the FAMAS Prestige Leadership Excellence in Filipino Heritage and Hospitality Award for his dedication to promoting Filipino excellence and his significant contributions to the hospitality industry.

Rosalie Tolentino Santiago. Santiago received her first FAMAS Prestige Award for Excellence in Fashion and Cultural Advocacy.

Dan Lester Dabon. Dabon was awarded the first-ever FAMAS Prestige Award as Advocate of the Year for Healthcare Management. He was also recognized as the youngest and only Filipino to be included in the Top 100 Healthcare Leaders Award at the International Forum on Advancements in Healthcare.
