It was shaping up to be a warm and lively morning, one filled with the familiar spirit of camaraderie that UP alumni carry wherever they go. This was held last Saturday, November 8 at Kariton Restaurant in Mississauga.
The fun gathering was the brain child of Rene Sevilla, whose enthusiasm and community spirit sparked this event. Malou Capistrano Parcero worked hand in hand with Rene in staging, coordinating, and making sure every detail flowed seamlessly, while guiding the program as its lovely, lively, and funny emcee.
As we arrived in the morning, we were welcomed with a scent of freshly brewed coffee at the door.
There was a check-in and pick up of name badges. Coffee and Timbits await while everyone had a chance to mingle and greet old friends, meet new ones, share a few laughs
Once everyone is fueled and happy there were quick introductions and sharing a little about each guest. There were singing and cheering because UPians and music always go together. They did not miss playing fun games and it was open seating. Everyone had the freedom to move around socialize and sit with new friends. The goal was to reconnect and build new bonds within our community.
