MANILA, Philippines — “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” winner Lella Ford is not hiding the fact she’s considered a “nepo baby” but emphasized she is out to make a name for herself in her own right.
Ford appeared on the March 11 episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” alongside her mother, actress Karla Estrada, where they discussed Ford’s win alongside Caprice Cayetano as well as Ford’s decision to enter showbiz like Karla and older brother Daniel Padilla.
Just before the episode ended, Boy asked Ford her reaction to be called a “nepo baby,” a young individual who benefitted from nepotism.
“Totoo naman, where’s the lie? It’s true and wala namang masama doon,” Lella admitted.
The young artist pointed out benefitting from nepotism only becomes detrimental if one takes advantage of it, to be consumed without having to do anything difficult.
“But ako, I’m here because I’m making a name for myself,” Lella ended. “Pinaghihirapan ko ang mga mayroon ko now.”
Lella, short for Carmella, signed with Star Magic last year prior to joining “Pinoy Big Brother” alongside future housemates Joaquin Arce (son of Neil Arce) and Iñigo Jose (son of James Blanco).
