P-pop group SB19 and Japanese boy group BE:FIRST during their intimate media roundtable interview (Carissa Alcantara)
With the growing population of P-pop groups in the Philippines, some fandom wars cannot be avoided; it may be a simple hate comment or a comparison between their favorite group.
In an intimate media roundtable interview the group members shared their thoughts on how they handle fandom wars.
Although it is not new for them to get involved in fandom wars between different groups, Ken shared that words can sometimes bring trauma and burden to some people.
Expressing his views on kindness, Josh urged fans to seek healthy ways to resolve conflicts instead of using harsh or irrational language.
Josh continued: “Spread love, and we should always try to think of what people would feel kung anong bibitawan natin na mabibigat. And of course, it’s okay to educate people. Okay din yung tamang pamamaraan.”
Gearing up for ”Wakas at Simula”
Ahead of their Lollapalooza performance, SB19 is now more focused on their concert “Wakas at Simula” happening April 18, at the SMDC concert ground.
“Syempre meron pa kaming papalapit na concert, yung focus talaga namin nandun talaga kasi hindi rin naman siya basta-basta rin, so, nagpa-practice pa kami ng kanta namin,” Pablo said.
He made sure that they would make up their time for the Lollapalooza stage after the “Wakas at Simula” concert. — Carissa Alcantara
