House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III underscored on Friday, April 17 the Marcos administration’s commitment to serving justice to Filipinos for alleged corruption in government, including the flood control projects corruption scandal.
Co’s capture–which President Marcos announced on Thursday night on his Facebook–was a significant step toward accountability and justice for the Filipino people, said Dy.
Dy noted that the President’s statement reflects the administration’s commitment to pursue justice in the wake of allegations of corruption in the implementation of government flood control projects.
(It has been clear since his SONA that the President declared there is no place for corruption under his leadership. That accountability must apply to everyone, especially those entrusted with public funds.)
“Habang tinutugunan natin ang usaping ito, tuloy ang trabaho ng Kapulungan sa mga pangangailangan ng ating bayan, lalo na sa epekto ng krisis sa Middle East (As we address this issue, the work of the House continues in meeting the needs of our people, particularly in responding to the impact of the crisis in the Middle East),” he said.
A few weeks ago, Dy and Majority Leader Ilocos Norte 1st district Rep. Sandro Marcos formed the Legislative Energy Action and Development (LEAD) Council for the purpose of coming up with both short-term and long-term solutions to the fuel price crisis.
