Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo continues to support regional tourism growth while bringing international hospitality standards to Western Visayas
SM Hotels’ Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo marked its seventh year in Iloilo City, celebrating what it described as a milestone built on Ilonggo hospitality, culinary achievements, and community partnerships.
The property, operated through a partnership between SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation and Radisson Hotel Group, said the anniversary reflects its broader push to support regional tourism growth and bring international hospitality standards to urban centers outside Metro Manila.
“Seven years ago, we envisioned Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo as a landmark property that would add to the vibrant tourism landscape of Western Visayas,” SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation executive vice president Peggy Angeles said in a statement.

Angeles said the hotel’s growth aligns with the company’s goal of creating guest experiences that combine global standards with local culture.
Since opening in 2019, the hotel has become part of Iloilo’s tourism and hospitality sector, with this year’s celebration themed “Seven Years of Ilonggo Hospitality.”
The hotel also highlighted recent recognition, including the Safehotels Certification, which it said affirms its safety and security standards.
Its culinary team also earned medals at the 16th National Food Showdown, receiving gold for bibingka and silver for valenciana in the professional category. General manager Rouel Guanzon said the awards underscore the team’s focus on local flavors and heritage-inspired cuisine.

The hotel said it has also expanded cultural initiatives, including “Beyond the Plate,” a masterclass developed with the Iloilo MICE Center, and “Panubli-on,” a documentary-style series featuring stories behind local dishes served at its restaurant Áni.
The property also recognized staff achievements, including Front of House winner Lucky Alunan at the SMHCC President’s Go Beyond Awards.
