Sessionistas bring back millennial hits at Solaire

Sessionistas return with a concert built around the songs that shaped millennial stories of love, heartbreak, friendship, and healing

OPM artists Ice Seguerra, Sitti, Nyoy Volante, Kean Cipriano, Princess Velasco, and Juris will headline Sessionistas: The Playlist, a concert set for Aug. 22 at The Theatre at Solaire in Parañaque.

The concert, scheduled at 8:00 p.m., will feature songs popular among millennials, focusing on themes of love, heartbreak, friendship, and healing.

Unlike a conventional tribute or soundtrack concert, the show is structured in themed segments, including the “Kilig Playlist,” “Broken Playlist,” “Barkada Playlist,” and “Healing Playlist.”

Producer and creative director Liza Diño described the concert as a way for audiences to reconnect with songs that remain part of their daily lives.

“Right now, everyone’s in their nostalgia era,” said Diño, CEO of Fire & Ice Entertainment. “We wanted to lean all the way into that. These are the songs that built us. But the thing people realize when they’re actually in the room is that it’s not just nostalgia — it’s not a song you used to feel something for. It’s a song you still do. That’s the part of the show I’m most excited for people to feel.”

The lineup brings together artists with distinct musical styles, from Seguerra’s coming-of-age hits and Sitti’s bossa nova sound to the ballads of Volante and Juris. Cipriano adds a rock-driven set, while Velasco contributes pop ballads suited for sing-along moments.

Organizers also announced that Duncan Ramos will join future runs of Sessionistas, with more concert dates expected after the August show.
